Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation in the Pacific : a practical guide

This guide aims to provide an insight in to various questions about mainstreaming as well as provide a practical step-by-step framework on how to mainstream climate change into PICTs development plannimg and decision-making process. The approach recommended in this guide combines standard policy cycles that are commonly used in the Pacific and elsewhere round the world with analytical inputs from the climate risk management (CRM) framework.

The 2013 Annual Report lays out the highlights of UNEP's work in 2013, a year in which the organization's Governing Council met under Universal Membership for the first time and the strengthening process agreed the previous year began in earnest. The report focuses on UNEP's achievement in the key focus areas of Climate Change||Disasters and Conflicts||Ecosystem Management||Environmental Governance||Harmful Substances and Hazardous Waste||Resource Efficiency||and Sustainable Consumption and Production. It also highlights the key role UNEP plays in providing environmental leadership to the UN system and the international community: for example, in 2013, nations adopted the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the first new global multilateral environmental agreement in almost a decade.

Évaluation de L’état de Préparation en vue d’une Initiative d’ouverture des Données
Gouvernement du Burkina Faso

Le gouvernement du Burkina Faso est en capacité de lancer une initiative d'ouverture des données rapidement. Il deviendrait ainsi le premier pays d'Afrique francophone à se doter d'un programme d'open data. Il assumerait alors un rôle de pionnier dans la sous-région et pourrait profiter de cette visibilité pour attirer développeurs, ONG et entrepreneurs qui pourront proposer de nouveaux services et applications.
