Acquainting ozone officers and managers of refrigeration associations from Europe and Central Asia with ozone-layer and climate friendly technologies using natural refrigerants

Forty-eight National Ozone Officers (NOOs) from South Asia, South East Asia and West Asia attended the Joint Network Meeting in Beijing on 8th April 2018. The Joint Network Meeting was held back-to-back with ‘Ozone2Climate’ Technology Roadshow and Industry Roundtable, and organized by UN Environment’s OzonAction in collaboration with the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office for China, Ministry of Ecology and Environment (FECO MEE).

The Chair of the Partnership Advisory Group prepared the annexed thought starter further optimizing the structure and organization of the Global Mercury Partnership. The Partnership Advisory Group may wish to discuss and provide advice on how the Partnership can strengthen its role in the early implementation of the Convention.

Athens, 22‐24 May 2015 – In collaboration with the ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) Hellenic Chapter in Greece, UNEP OzonAction led a special session on marine refrigerated shipping and fishing vessels including new and emerging ozone‐friendly, climate‐friendly and energy‐efficient refrigeration technologies, vessel registration practices, as well as rules and policies for the management of refrigerants as required under the Montreal Protocol and in particular hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).
