This report summarises the agenda and findings of the Legal Readiness for Climate Finance: Private Sector Opportunities roundtable co-convened by King’s College London, UN Environment, and Legal Response International. It is part of an ongoing King’s College
London/UN Environment partnership to stimulate collaborations and mutual learning between public and private stakeholders in developing and developed countries for transformational change.
This roundtable was aimed at the public sector and focused on experiences of Kenya and Mexico as case-studies. Delegates at that workshop subsequently indicated a strong desire to engage with the private sector, especially lawyers, financiers, and investors.

This report contains a strong declaration by 154 governments that renewable energy should play a major role in the energy economy of the 21st century—a development with important implications for co-operation and renewable energy investment between Asia and Europe.

The Consultative Meeting on Environment and Economics was sponsored by UNEP in order to solicit expert advice on how the discipline of economics can assist UNEP better fulfil its catalytic, coordinating, consensus-building and capacity-building functions.

Part I of this Addendum to the Proceedings of the Fourth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (Nairobi, 1994) contains all of the reports on implementation received from Parties prior to and during that meeting. They have been reproduced in the form in which they were submitted to the Secretariat. Part II contains national reports submitted by representatives of States not yet party to the Convention. Part III contains the opening statements made at the fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties on behalf of governments and non-governmental organizations.
